In this work we present a new analysis for studying the effects of the anisotropies on the Lyman-a flux correlation function. We construct Lyman-a mocks starting from a COLA simulation and from there we calculate the three dimensional flux correlation function. Given that these mocks have information of the nonlinear evolution of perturbations and higher order statistics, we test the effects of the nonlinearities on the BAO feature by constructing a Kaiser model for the power spectrum with an extra exponential term that accounts for the non linear effects in the BAO peak, and then use a Markov Chain Monte Carlo to infer the parameters of the model. These will allows to compare the differences of using more realistic mocks against the current analysis where the mocks, by construction, do not include nonlinear evolution.
