A visual morphological classification for the MaNGA galaxies

The galaxies in the MaNGA survey span nearly three orders of magnitude in stellar mass, without imposing restrictions in size, inclination, morphology or environment. At present time about 6000 galaxies have been observed and analyzed by the collaboration. We carried out a statistical characterization of various of the properties of this galaxy population, useful for connecting demography with the inner physics of galaxies inferred from the IFU data. We present a visual morphological classification based on inspection of generated mosaic SDSS images and complemented with images from The Dark Energy Legacy Survey. The results of this classification are compared against other independent classifications available in the collaboration.
